04 → Studio
I once worked with Jim Jacobs in Dallas. At the time, he was working independently when he brought me onto his practice, and it became one of the most meaningful collaborations of my early career. Working closely in that space shaped how I think about creative work to this day.
One detail I’ve never forgotten is how he answered the phone. He would simply say, “Studio,” in the most calm, welcoming voice.
That word has stayed with me ever since.
To me, “Studio” means more than a place. It represents creativity, collaboration, openness, and possibility — all rooted in the spirit of Jim Jacobs and that time of shared work.
